“Everybody has got equal right to Self realization”

“One who comes to my door he will not return empty handed”.

SAI SURAJ AASHRAM started in the year 1986 on the Subarnarekha river bank. This is a unique ashram and probably this is the only Aashram where people of all religions, even atheists, are equally welcome to feel and realize peace and happiness. An ashram is said to be living as long as a Sadguru or Saint or a Self realized person is present there. This way also the ashram is blessed by the presence of Sadguru Shree Suraj Maharaj. Under His guidance only this aashram has been built and is running.

This is the first aashram of Sadguru Shree Suraj Maharaj. All these years it has been spiritually charged by His presence that it has become a Siddha peet (like Brindavan, Kashi , Mathura, Rameshwaram , Badrinath ,Puri, Mecca , etc.).Due to this anybody who comes to the ashram and sits relaxed, gets himself charged with peace and happiness. So, people of all walks of life come here and get their prayers fulfilled. They light the earthen lamps as a mark of their fulfillment and gratitude. So, every day looks like Deepawali in the aashram.

Any place called Aashram, Mandir, Gurudwara, Church, Mosque, etc. should have basically three activities – Satkarm (ie work with God as aim),Satnam (i.e. Prayer, namasankirtanam, or Bhajan, etc.) and Satsang (i.e. Meeting with Sadguru or Saint or Selfrealised person or Paramahans or Mahatma, etc.). In this ashram we have Arati, Bhajan and Satsang with Babajee daily. Arati is a form of Satkarm apart from the physical work done in the ashram. By participating in these activities everyone physically, mentally and spiritually develop step by step towards the ultimate fulfillment of human birth i.e. Self realization or liberation or Mukti.

In Babajee’s words , Satkarm is Ganga ( i.e. karma Yoga ) , Satnam is Yamuna (i.e. Bhakti Yoga) and Satsang is Saraswati (i.e. Gyana Yoga) and where these three take place there only is Triveni ; and one who dips and washes away his ego in this Triveni he becomes liberated (no more birth for him). So, Triveni is flowing unceasingly in this Ashram. The external Triveni at Prayag is only symbolic and no benefit accrues even if one dips infinite no of times in it.

Sadguru Shree Suraj Maharaj says:

“The purpose of religion is to unite mankind; not to divide; and ultimately unite man   with God “

“You come freely; meet me freely and become free (Mukt)”

“You give me your sorrows and I will fill you with happiness”

“You give me your ego and you will realize your Self”

Babajee does not give initiation or diksha, because, the popular notion is that by diksha one is bound to a Guru, which in turn leads to groups and hence division among men. A real guru does not bind anybody to Himself. Just like He is free (mukt), he keeps everybody free. He is for all and not for some to whom diksha is given.

One who has attained Self realization is always in Sat Chit Anand (i.e. Absolute Existence - Knowledge – Bliss). During Satsang this Sat Chit Anand energy gets distributed from His being to those listening to Him in His presence. Those who surrender their ego will absorb more of this energy and get purified. People listening to His words, without any distraction of mind, feel an unexplainable peace and happiness. They get meditative state without themselves being aware. If one can listen to Him for 22 second uninterruptedly he will attain Self realization or Liberation. This is how men have attained mukti in ancient times and this is the highest type of yoga.

Babajee stands for Universal love for the entire humanity and that is the sole purpose of the aashram. While listening to His discourses, though people are from different religions and faiths, they feel that they are listening to their own Gurus (i.e.  a Christian feels Jesus , a devotee of Krishna feels Lord Krishna, a Buddhist feels Lord Buddha , a Muslim feels Mohammed , Sri Ramakrishna , Sri Chaitanya , etc.). This is because the truth in all the great ones is one and the same.

Babajee’s teachings are scientific, logic, yogic, spiritual and are with present practical examples. He vehemently opposes blind dogmatic faith. In the name of God and religion so many wars have happened due to blind faith only. This blindness still continues in this world. In the name of God and religion innocent people are being misguided.

There are great sayings uttered by Babajee after his Self realization which are enlightening in nature. There is so much to learn from Him, which is very much necessary and relevant to the present mankind. By following His teachings everyone can make his life blissful, as He says, “Paradise or Heaven is not reached after death; but, it has to be made on earth while living”.

One can meet Babajee without any hesitation and freely without any fee. No need of introduction by anybody to Babajee. No dakshina or donation needs to be given. There is no difference between a devotee or a non devotee; old or new devotee; known or unknown person; near or far. People of any nature or character (i.e. any kind of addicts, gambler, lowest to highest nature, etc) can meet Him without any hesitation. Not even names or whereabouts are asked by Him, because, for one who knows all (past, present & future) what we little beings tell is false only.

So, our ardent desire and efforts are that everybody should come to the ashram and benefit by the presence, blessings and Satsang of Babajee. Like every Great Man, He wishes and tries His best to fill with that Bliss eternal in which He is always living.
